Re-usable and super easy to maintain! All you have to do is soak in hot water every 2 to 3 months for fresh, clean bark. (ReptiBark should be replaced at least once a year).
Smaller chips provide better moisture retention (increased surface area). Prevents live food from hanging out in your substrate (small pieces interlock)! Always keep cage clean and provide proper ventilation. Nonmoving, stagnant water harbors gram negative bacteria, which can lead to fungal and bacterial infection! Use Wipe Out 2 periodically to disinfect bark between cleanings.
Messy eaters should be fed outside of cage, in special feeding area, or out of deeper or larger feeding dishes (Repti Rock Water Dishes work great!)
Be sure to use a humidity gauge (like Zoo Med?s Precision Analog Humidity Gauge in your terrarium.
